The book of Numbers tells why. The Israelites' disobedience and lack of faith caused God to make them wander in the desert until all the people of that generation had died--with a few important exceptions. The book draws its name from the census made of the people, a necessary step toward their organization and future : Jack Zavada. In the last lesson, Moses and Aaron had numbered the young men of the tribe. They possibly took the results into the tabernacle, and God spoke to them there. In this lesson, we will see the order of God. Notice as we go through this lesson, that God is in the center of the encampment.

Numbers 26 - NIV: After the plague the LORD said to Moses and Eleazar son of Aaron, the priest, “Take a census of the whole Israelite community by families—all those twenty years old or more who are able to serve in the army of Israel.”. Summary of passage: Numbers Another census was ordered by God of the men who were over 20 years of age by family. Reuben numbe Simeon numbe including the line of Korah which didn’t die out. David chose the third, and the Lord then punished Israel with a plague that kil men from Dan in the north to Beersheba in the south.

As for why God punished the whole nation for the sin of the king, that is exactly the question David asks in 2 Samuel   “These are the ones who were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, with the leaders of Israel, twelve men, each of whom was of his father's household.

So all the numbered men of the sons of Israel by their father's households from twenty years old and upward, whoever was able to go out to war in Israel, even all the numbered men wereCondition means everything in a book's value.

A book that has significant damage is likely not worth much. A book collector wants an attractive copy. Dust jackets. Most hard cover books published since the early 20th century were sold with a dust jacket. The dust jacket is both the most decorative part of a book, and the most delicate.

The Book of Numbers (from Greek Ἀριθμοί, Arithmoi; Hebrew: בְּמִדְבַּר, Bəmiḏbar, "In the desert [of]") is the fourth book of the Hebrew Bible, and the fourth of five books of the Jewish Torah.

The book has a long and complex history; its final form is possibly due to a Priestly redaction (i.e., editing) of a Yahwistic source made some time in the early Persian period. "The total of the numbered men of the camp of Dan wasThey shall set out last by their standards." New King James Version “All who were numbered of the forces with Dan, one hundred and fifty-seven thousand six hundred—they shall break camp last, with their standards.” King James Bible.
